Target Information

The KIF25 gene encodes a member of the kinesin-like protein family, which are microtubule-dependent molecular motors involved in organelle transport and chromosome movement during cell division.
The specific function of KIF25 is not yet determined. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described, along with other variants lacking exon 2 and the translation initiation codon.
