Target Information

The KIF25 protein belongs to the kinesin-like protein family, which functions as microtubule-dependent molecular motors. These proteins transport organelles within cells and facilitate chromosome movement during cell division.
The specific function of KIF25 remains undetermined. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described, and other variants lacking exon 2 and the initiation codon for translation have also been identified.
