Target Information
IL-21은 주로 Natural Killer Cells (NKT), T helper (Th17), 및 T follicular helper (TFH) 세포에서 생성되는 17 kDa 면역조절성 사이토카인입니다.
TFH 세포에서 IL-21은 IL-21 receptor (IL-21R) 및 STAT3을 통한 자가분비 신호를 유도하여 Bcl6에 의한 추가 전사 활성화를 촉진합니다.
Th17 세포에서는 IL-21이 STAT3, IRF4, RORγt를 통해 IL-23R 발현을 증가시켜 염증성 사이토카인 IL-23에 의해 성숙 및 유지됩니다.
IL-21은 또한 Foxp3를 하향조절하며, 결핍된 생쥐는 화학적으로 유도된 대장염에 대한 보호 효과를 보입니다.
높은 IL-21 수준은 대장염 모델에서 관찰됩니다.
