Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).


Target Information

Syntaxin 1 is part of the syntaxin superfamily, a group of nervous system-specific proteins involved in docking synaptic vesicles to the presynaptic plasma membrane.
It contains:

  • A single C-terminal transmembrane domain
  • A SNARE (Soluble NSF Attachment protein REceptor) domain (H3)
  • An N-terminal regulatory domain (Habc)

Syntaxin 1 binds synaptotagmin in a calcium-dependent manner and interacts with voltage-dependent calcium and potassium channels via the H3 domain.
This gene product plays a key role in ion channel regulation and synaptic exocytosis.
Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
