Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).


Target Information

The CTSL (Cathepsin L) protein is a lysosomal cysteine protease involved in intracellular protein catabolism.
It degrades substrates such as collagen, elastin, and alpha-1 protease inhibitor, a regulator of neutrophil elastase activity.
This enzyme is associated with various pathological processes, including myofibril necrosis in myopathies, myocardial ischemia, and renal tubular response to proteinuria.
Cathepsin L belongs to the peptidase C1 family and exists as a disulfide-linked dimer of heavy and light chains derived from a single precursor protein.
Multiple transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified.
