Product Specific Information
1 µg/mL of MA5-45104 was sufficient for detection of HSP90beta in 20 µg of heat-shocked HeLa cell lysate by colorimetric immunoblot analysis using Goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.
Detects 90 kDa. Detects HSP90 beta in all reactive species except in Chicken, where it detects both alpha and beta isoforms.
Target Information
HSP90 proteins are highly conserved molecular chaperones that play key roles in signal transduction, protein folding, degradation, and morphologic evolution. They associate with cochaperones to fold newly synthesized proteins or refold denatured proteins after stress.
There are two major cytosolic HSP90 proteins: HSP90AA1 (inducible form) and HSP90AB1 (constitutive form), as well as mitochondrial variants (Chen et al., 2005).
