Target Information
TRAIL-R3 (CD263)는 TNF-receptor superfamily의 구성원입니다. 이 수용체는 extracellular TRAIL-binding domain과 transmembrane domain을 포함하지만 cytoplasmic death domain은 없습니다. 따라서 세포 사멸(apoptosis)을 유도하지 못하며, TRAIL에 의해 유도되는 apoptosis로부터 세포를 보호하는 길항적 수용체로 작용하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
이 유전자는 p53에 의해 조절되는 DNA 손상 유도성 유전자로 밝혀졌으며, 정상 조직에서는 발현되지만 대부분의 암세포주에서는 발현되지 않아 TRAIL에 의한 apoptosis 유도에 대한 암세포의 특이적 감수성을 설명할 수 있습니다.
