For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).


Target Information

This gene belongs to the protocadherin gamma gene cluster, one of three related clusters on chromosome five. These clusters have an immunoglobulin-like organization, suggesting a novel regulatory mechanism.
The gamma cluster includes 22 genes divided into three subfamilies:

  • Subfamily A: 12 genes
  • Subfamily B: 7 genes and 2 pseudogenes
  • Subfamily C: 3 genes

Each variable region exon encodes the extracellular domain with six cadherin ectodomains and a transmembrane region, followed by a constant region encoding the common cytoplasmic domain.
These neural cadherin-like cell adhesion proteins likely play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining specific cell-cell connections in the brain.
Alternative splicing has been reported for gamma cluster genes.
