Annexin IV (ANX4)는 칼슘 의존성 인지질 결합 단백질인 annexin 계열에 속합니다. 이 단백질들은 세포막 관련 사건, 특히 분비 및 내포 작용 경로에서 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. ANX4는 다른 annexin 계열 단백질과 45~59%의 서열 유사성을 가지며, 유사한 크기와 엑손-인트론 구조를 공유합니다. 인간 태반에서 분리된 ANX4는 ATP 결합, 항응고 활성, 그리고 phospholipase A2 억제 작용을 보이며, 주로 상피세포에서 발현됩니다.
