P2Y6은 G 단백질 결합 수용체(GPCR) 계열에 속하는 단백질로, 여러 아데노신 및 유리딘 뉴클레오타이드에 대해 다양한 선택성을 가진 수용체 아형을 포함합니다. UDP에 반응하며, UTP와 ADP에는 부분적으로 반응하고 ATP에는 반응하지 않습니다. P2Y6의 발현은 혈액 세포, 골수, 뇌, 대장, 심장, 신장, 난소, 태반, 비장, 흉선 등 다양한 조직에서 확인되었습니다. 또한 자궁경부, 배아, 눈, 신장, 간/비장, 태반, 혈관 라이브러리에서 EST가 분리되었습니다.
