Target Information
AFP (Alpha Fetoprotein)은 태생기 동안 난황낭, 장관, 간에서 생성되는 주요 혈장 단백질입니다. 성인에서 AFP 발현은 간세포암종이나 기형종과 관련될 수 있으며, 병리적 이상이 없는 유전적 지속 형태로도 나타날 수 있습니다. AFP는 혈청 알부민의 태아형 단백질로, 두 유전자는 염색체 4상에서 나란히 존재합니다. AFP는 단량체, 이량체, 삼량체 형태로 존재하며, 구리, 니켈 이온, 지방산, 빌리루빈과 결합할 수 있습니다. 양수 내 AFP 농도는 척추이분증 및 무뇌증 선별 검사에 활용되며, 혈청 AFP의 높은 수치는 간세포암종(HCC), 기형암, 대장암, 췌장암, 생식세포 종양 등에서 관찰됩니다.
