Target Information
AFP (Alpha Fetoprotein)은 태아 시기에 난황낭, 장관, 간에서 생성되는 주요 혈장 단백질입니다. 성인에서 AFP 발현은 간세포암종(hepatoma)이나 기형종(teratoma)과 관련이 있습니다. 또한 병리적 이상 없이도 유전적으로 AFP가 지속적으로 발현되는 경우가 있습니다. AFP는 혈청 알부민의 태아형으로 알려져 있으며, 두 유전자는 염색체 4에 나란히 존재합니다. AFP는 단량체, 이량체, 삼량체 형태로 존재할 수 있으며 구리, 니켈 이온, 지방산, 빌리루빈과 결합할 수 있습니다. 양수 내 AFP 수치는 척추이분증 및 무뇌증 선별을 위한 단백질 손실 측정에 사용됩니다. 혈청 AFP의 높은 수치는 간세포암, 기형모세포종, 대장암, 췌장암, 생식세포종양 환자에서 보고되었습니다.
