Target Information
PKM2 (Pyruvate Kinase M2) catalyzes the conversion of phosphoenolpyruvate to pyruvate and ATP. It interacts with thyroid hormone, mediating metabolic effects, and binds to bacterial Opa protein, indicating a role in pathogenesis. Multiple alternatively spliced variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified.
