SLIT and NTRK-like family 5 (Slitrk5)는 여섯 개의 상동 막단백질(Slitrk1–6)로 구성된 단백질 패밀리의 일원으로, 세포외 도메인에 두 개의 보존된 leucine-rich repeat 도메인을 가지며, 축삭 성장 조절 단백질 Slit과 상동성을 보입니다. 또한, 세포내 도메인에서는 trk neurotrophin 수용체와 유사성을 가집니다. Slitrk 단백질은 신경 및 뇌종양 조직에 제한적으로 발현되며, Slitrk5의 과발현은 배양 신경세포에서 신경돌기 성장을 억제하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 이는 이 단백질들이 신경돌기 성장 조절에 관여함을 시사합니다.
