Target Information
CD200 is a type-1 membrane glycoprotein containing two immunoglobulin domains and belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily. It interacts with CD200R on myeloid cells, helping prevent macrophage activation. Homologues exist in herpesviruses and poxviruses. In mouse and rat, CD200 regulates myeloid cell activity and provides inhibitory signals for macrophages. Multiple alternatively spliced variants encode different isoforms. Diseases associated with CD200 dysfunction include Mantle Cell Lymphoma and Primary Hypertrophic Osteoarthropathy.
