Product Specific Information

MM350C targets TNF alpha in ELISA and WB applications and shows reactivity with mouse samples.
The immunogen is recombinant mouse TNF alpha. This antibody is produced by injecting Rat IgG secreting hybridoma cells into the peritoneum of mice, followed by ascites collection and purification.

MM350C detects TNF alpha with a predicted molecular weight of approximately 26 kDa.
It has been successfully paired as the coating antibody in a sandwich ELISA with detection antibody MM350DB (biotinylated conjugate of clone XT22).
Typical dilutions for sandwich ELISA include 1 µg/mL for coating and 0.125–0.25 µg/mL for detection.

Antibody MM350C (clone XT3) and biotinylated antibody MM350DB (clone XT22) have been used in combination with recombinant mouse TNF alpha protein SMTNFA in ELISA applications.
This product has been tested for endotoxins by LAL assay and contains ≤10 EU/mg endotoxin.

Target Information

TNF alpha is a multifunctional proinflammatory cytokine belonging to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) superfamily. It is mainly secreted by macrophages and binds to receptors TNFRSF1A/TNFR1 and TNFRSF1B/TNFBR.
TNF alpha regulates immune cell activity, proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, lipid metabolism, and coagulation. It typically appears as a 17 kDa band under non-reducing SDS-PAGE conditions.

Knockout studies in mice have indicated neuroprotective roles and tumor necrosis activity when injected into tumor-bearing mice. TNF alpha participates in immune responses to bacterial, viral, parasitic, and fungal infections, and is implicated in diseases such as autoimmune disorders, insulin resistance, and cancer.
