Target Information
Lipoteichoic acid (LTA)는 Gram-positive 세균 외피의 glycerol phosphate 표면 중합체로, glycolipid를 통해 세포막에 고정되어 있으며 peptidoglycan 층으로 연장된 다당체 사슬을 가집니다.
성장 중 배양액으로 자연 방출되며, Gram-negative 세균의 LPS와 유사한 면역 활성 특성을 나타냅니다.
LTA는 CD14에 결합하고 주로 Toll-like receptor 2를 통해 세포 활성화를 유도합니다.
세포 내로 내재화되어 Golgi로 이동하지만, LTA에 대한 세포 활성화는 주로 세포 표면에서 발생합니다.
