Product Specific Information
- For IHC (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
ITLN1 enhances insulin-stimulated glucose uptake in adipocytes and increases AKT phosphorylation both in the presence and absence of insulin.
It may play a role in the defense system against microorganisms by recognizing carbohydrate chains of pathogens and bacterial components containing galactofuranosyl residues in a calcium-dependent manner.
ITLN1 may also be involved in iron metabolism.
