Product Specific Information

  • Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature (RT).
  • Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes.

Target Information

ITLN1 has no effect on basal glucose uptake but enhances insulin-stimulated glucose uptake in adipocytes.
ITLN1 increases AKT phosphorylation in the absence and presence of insulin.
ITLN1 may play a role in the defense system against microorganisms and may specifically recognize carbohydrate chains of pathogens and bacterial components containing galactofuranosyl residues, in a calcium-dependent manner.
ITLN1 may be involved in iron metabolism.
