Target Information
B4GALT4 유전자는 β1,4-galactosyltransferase (beta4GalT) 계열 중 하나로, UDP-galactose를 donor substrate로 사용하여 galactose를 β1,4 결합 형태로 GlcNAc, Glc, Xyl 등에 전달합니다. 각 beta4GalT는 다양한 glycoconjugate 및 saccharide 구조의 생합성에 관여하며, type II 막단백질로서 Golgi apparatus에 위치합니다. 이 효소는 주로 glycolipid 생합성에 관여하며, 두 가지 alternative splicing 변이가 보고되었습니다.
