SPAG5 (sperm associated antigen 5)는 MAP126, hMAP126, DEEPEST, Astrin으로도 알려진 1,193개 아미노산 단백질로, 고환에서 높은 수준으로 발현되며 간, 태반, 췌장, 결장, 흉선에서 낮은 수준으로 발현됨.
SPAG5는 유사분열 동안 방추체 형성에 필수적이며 염색체 응집 및 분리 조절에 관여함. DNA 손상 시 ATR 또는 ATM에 의해 인산화될 수 있음.
