PA1-10884 detects FBG2 (F Box 2) in human, mouse, and rat samples.
It has been successfully used in Western blot procedures, where a band of approximately 34 kDa is detected.
The immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues 268–284 of human FBG2.

Target Information

This gene encodes a member of the F-box protein family characterized by an approximately 40 amino acid motif, the F-box.
F-box proteins are subunits of the ubiquitin protein ligase complex SCFs (SKP1-cullin-F-box), functioning in phosphorylation-dependent ubiquitination.
They are divided into three classes:

• Fbws (containing WD-40 domains)
• Fbls (containing leucine-rich repeats)
• Fbxs (containing various protein-protein interaction modules or no recognizable motifs)

The FBXO6 protein belongs to the Fbxs class, and its C-terminal region is highly similar to rat NFB42 (neural F Box 42 kDa), possibly involved in cell cycle control.
