Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to reach a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
TIM3 (Hepatitis A virus cellular receptor 2, HAVCR2, T-cell immunoglobulin, mucin-domain containing-3) is a 281 amino acid Type I cell surface glycoprotein expressed on terminally differentiated CD4+ Th1 and CD8+ Tc1 cells.
It includes an IgV-like domain, a mucin-like extracellular domain, and a conserved tyrosine phosphorylation motif in the cytoplasmic region.
TIM3 is involved in macrophage activation, autoimmune disease induction, and regulation of Th1-mediated immune responses, contributing to immune tolerance.
Pathological significance has been linked to experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE), a Th1-dependent autoimmune disease.
