Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
Peripheral Myelin Protein 22 (PMP22) is a 160 amino acid glycoprotein belonging to the claudin family. It plays an important role in the structure of peripheral nerve myelin. Mutations in the PMP22 gene are associated with hereditary demyelinating neuropathies. PMP22 protein is found in the compact myelin of adult human peripheral nerves, with a distribution similar to Myelin Protein Zero (P0).
