Product Specific Information

This antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).

Target Information

The hnRNP D gene belongs to the subfamily of ubiquitously expressed heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs). These proteins bind nucleic acids and complex with heterogeneous nuclear RNA (hnRNA). hnRNPs are associated with pre-mRNAs in the nucleus and influence pre-mRNA processing, mRNA metabolism, and transport.
While most hnRNPs are nuclear, some shuttle between the nucleus and cytoplasm. hnRNP D contains two quasi-RRM domains that bind RNAs and localizes to both nucleus and cytoplasm. It plays a role in regulating mRNA stability. Alternative splicing produces four transcript variants.
