Product Specific Information

Description:
The HIS51 monoclonal antibody reacts with rat CD90 and cross-reacts with mouse CD90.1, a GPI-linked membrane molecule.
In rats, CD90 is expressed by hematopoietic stem cells, immature B cells, thymocytes, neurons, inflamed endothelia, and other cell types.
In CD90.1-expressing mouse strains (PL and AKR), CD90 is expressed by early hematopoietic cells in the bone marrow, thymocytes, and mature T cells.

Applications Reported:
The HIS51 antibody is reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of rat thymocyte and splenocyte suspensions.
Use ≤ 0.06 µg per test (defined as the amount of antibody that stains cells in 100 µL final volume).
Cell number may range from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test.
Antibody titration is recommended for optimal performance.

Target Information

CD90 (Thy-1) antigen is a GPI-linked glycoprotein and a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily.
It is expressed in murine T cells, thymocytes, neural cells, Kupffer’s cells, and fibroblasts.
Thy-1 may play a role in cell–cell or cell–ligand interactions during synaptogenesis and other neural processes.
