This antibody is predicted to react with chicken, canine, amphibian, mouse, porcine, rabbit, and rat based on sequence homology.
Heat-mediated antigen retrieval is recommended prior to staining using a 10 mM citrate buffer (pH 6.0) for 10 minutes, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Following antigen retrieval, incubate samples with primary antibody for 10 minutes at room temperature.
Suggested positive controls include prostate, skin, or ovarian carcinoma.

Target Information

PDGFRB (platelet-derived growth factor receptor beta) is a receptor tyrosine kinase implicated in atherogenesis and cell transformation by the SIS oncogene.
These growth factors act as mitogens for cells of mesenchymal origin.
The receptor’s ligand determines whether it forms a homodimer or heterodimer with PDGFR-alpha.
The PDGFRB gene is located on chromosome 5, flanked by genes for granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor and macrophage-colony stimulating factor receptor—potentially linked to 5-q syndrome.
A translocation between chromosomes 5 and 12 fusing PDGFRB (CD140b) with ETV6 leads to chronic myeloproliferative disorder with eosinophilia.
