The monoclonal antibody eBio8F10.3 recognizes TACI (Transmembrane Activator and Calcium-modulator and CAML Interactor), also known as CD267.
TACI is a type III membrane protein belonging to the TNF receptor superfamily. Its ligands include BAFF (BLyS) and APRIL, and it is expressed on a subset of maturing splenic B cells (T2 type).

Genetic studies indicate that TACI plays roles in both stimulation and inhibition of B cell proliferation. The precise role of TACI in mice remains under investigation, though human TACI has been shown to inhibit BAFF-R function.
