Product Specific Information

The monoclonal antibody HK1.4 recognizes mouse Ly-6C, a GPI-linked protein of the Ly6 family.
Ly-6C is expressed on monocytes/macrophages, endothelial cells, granulocytes, and subsets of lymphocytes.
Expression varies among mouse strains:

• Ly6C.1 (C57Bl/6, SJL): stains both CD4 and CD8 cells
• Ly6C.2 (BALB/c, 3H/He): stains CD8 but not CD4 cells

In vitro, HK1.4 antibody can enhance proliferation and stimulate cytokine release.

Applications Tested: Mouse splenocytes (≤0.125 µg/test, 100 µL final volume)
Recommended to titrate for optimal performance.
