This B1.23.2 monoclonal antibody recognizes human Leukocyte Antigens (HLA) B and C, which correspond to MHC Class I in humans.
HLA-B and HLA-C are expressed on nearly all cell types and form heterodimers with beta-2 microglobulin at the cell surface.
These complexes are essential for presenting endoplasmic reticulum-derived peptides to immune cells.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells.
Recommended use: 5 µL (0.25 µg) per test in a final volume of 100 µL (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).

Target Information

HLA-class I antigens are widely distributed on human nucleated cells.
Expression levels of HLA-ABC may vary in pathological states — malignant cells may lose HLA-ABC, while hepatocytes in alcoholic hepatitis, biliary cirrhosis, and chronic active hepatitis may show enhanced expression.
HLA and MHC antibodies are key tools in Immunopeptidomics, enabling identification and characterization of neoantigens using LC-MS/MS.
