Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, we recommend adding 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step.

Target Information

The CD4 antigen is involved in the recognition of MHC class II molecules and acts as a co-receptor for HIV.
CD4 is mainly expressed in T helper cells but may also appear in monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells.
Tissue expression includes thymus, lymph nodes, tonsils, spleen, and specific regions of the brain and gut.
CD4 contributes to early T-cell activation through interaction with the T-cell receptor complex and Lck kinase.
It may also mediate neuronal damage in infectious and immune-related CNS diseases.
Multiple alternatively spliced transcripts have been identified (RefSeq, July 2017).
