- Percent identity with other species by BLAST analysis: Human, Marmoset, Dog (100%)
- For IHC(P), use heat-induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer.
- After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen.
Target Information
5-HT7 Receptor is a serotonin receptor involved in:
- Regulation of circadian rhythm
- Mediation of smooth-muscle relaxation in vasculature and GI tract
- Implicated in depression, autism, and other neuropsychiatric disorders
Three protein isoforms have been documented:
- Isoform a: 445 aa
- Isoform b: 432 aa
- Isoform d: 479 aa
Expression reported in: aorta, brain, heart, placenta, small intestine, spleen, artery, and vessel.
