Target Information
Mesothelin은 중피세포에서 주로 분비되는 GPI-anchored 세포막 당단백질로, 중피종, 난소암, 췌장암 등에서 높은 발현을 보이는 종양 관련 항원입니다. 정상 조직에서는 흉막, 심막, 복막의 중피세포에서 제한적으로 발현되며, 암 조직에서의 과발현은 종양 형성과 전이에 관여하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
Mesothelin의 절단 산물인 megakaryocyte potentiating factor (MPF)는 조혈세포 내 거핵세포 증식 및 분화 조절에 관여하는 것으로 보고되었습니다. Mesothelin과 MPF 모두 암세포의 증식, 이동, 부착독립적 성장, 종양 진행에 기여할 가능성이 제시되고 있습니다.
