Product Specific Information

This G10F5 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD66b, one of four members of the CD66 family of granulocyte-specific activation antigens. CD66b is expressed on neutrophils and eosinophils and is upregulated following stimulation. This glycosyl-phosphatidylinositol-linked cell surface receptor plays a role in regulating neutrophil activation and adhesion to fibronectin, galectin-3, and E-selectin.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended use at 5 µL (0.125 µg) per test (100 µL final volume). Cell number range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.

Target Information

This gene encodes a member of the carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) gene family, part of the immunoglobulin superfamily. The CEA family includes cell adhesion molecules and pregnancy-specific glycoproteins located on chromosome 19. The encoded protein functions in cell-cell adhesion and is found on leukocytes, epithelia, and endothelia. It mediates both homophilic and heterophilic interactions, contributing to tissue organization, angiogenesis, apoptosis, tumor suppression, metastasis, and immune response modulation. Multiple transcript variants exist, though not all full-length forms are defined.
