Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Ran/TC4-binding protein (RanBP1) interacts specifically with GTP-charged RAN.
RANBP1 encodes a 23-kDa protein that binds RAN complexed with GTP but not GDP.
It does not activate GTPase activity of RAN but enhances GTP hydrolysis by RanGAP1.
RANBP1 cDNA encodes a 201-amino acid protein, 92% similar to its mouse homolog.
In mammalian and yeast cells, RanBP1 acts as a negative regulator of RCC1 by inhibiting RCC1-stimulated guanine nucleotide release from RAN.
