- In sandwich ELISAs, less than 0.2% cross-reactivity with recombinant human IL-2 and recombinant mouse IL-2 is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
- Endotoxin level is <0.10 EU per 1 µg of the antibody by the LAL method.
Target Information
Interleukin 2 (IL-2) is an immunomodulatory cytokine crucial for the proliferation of activated T cells and differentiation of B cells, NK cells, monocytes, and macrophages. IL-2 signals through the IL-2 receptor (IL-2R), a heterotrimeric protein complex whose gamma chain is shared by IL-4 and IL-7. The IL-2 gene expression in mature thymocytes is monoallelic, representing a unique regulatory mechanism for precise gene expression. Disruption of a similar gene in mice leads to colitis-like disease, highlighting IL-2’s essential role in immune response regulation.
