Target Information
CA125 determinant is present on a high molecular weight, mucin-like glycoprotein. It has been identified in tissues derived from coelomic and mullerian epithelium, including pleura, pericardium, peritoneum, and in epithelial cells of fallopian tube, endometrium, endocervix, pancreas, colon, gall bladder, stomach, kidney, apocrine sweat gland, and mammary gland. It is also found in mesothelial cell linings and ovarian tumors of serous, endometrioid, or clear cell types, as well as adenocarcinomas of mullerian type.
