Target Information
Placental Alkaline Phosphatase (PLAP)는 특정 염증성 질환 조절에 중요한 역할을 하는 효소입니다. 이 효소는 장, 태반, 태반 유사, 간/골/신장 등 네 가지 형태로 존재합니다. PLAP는 태반의 3기 임신 중에 나타나는 막결합형 아이소엔자임(Regan 및 Nagao type)과 반응합니다.
PLAP는 고환 생식세포종의 식별에 유용하며, PLAP 양성 체세포 종양은 상피막 항원(EMA)을 균일하게 발현합니다. 또한 PLAP는 기질 무기화에 관여하는 것으로 제안되었으나, 해당 효소가 결핍된 생쥐는 정상적인 골격 발달을 보입니다.
PLAP는 고인산혈증(hypophosphatasia)과 직접적으로 연관되어 있으며, 이 질환은 고칼슘혈증과 골격 이상을 특징으로 합니다. 변이 형태에 따라 발병 시기와 증상의 심각도가 달라질 수 있습니다.
