Product Specific Information

• Reconstitute with 1 mL of distilled water.
• After reconstitution, store undiluted at 4°C in the dark.
• Shelf life after reconstitution: approximately 18 months.
• For FACS analysis, use 10 µL of the working dilution to label 1×10⁶ cells in 100 µL.
• Mouse anti-human CD16 antibody (clone DJ130c) recognizes human CD16, also known as low-affinity immunoglobulin gamma Fc receptor III-A (FcγRIIIa).

Target Information

CD16 encodes a receptor that binds to the Fc portion of IgG and mediates immune complex clearance, antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity, and modulation of viral infection. The gene FCGR3A is highly homologous to FCGR3B, located on chromosome 1.

• Expression: CD16A (FCGR3A) is expressed on NK cells as a transmembrane protein.
• CD16B (FCGR3B): Expressed on polymorphonuclear neutrophils (PMN) via a phosphatidylinositol linkage.
• Clinical relevance: Mutations in FCGR3A are associated with Immunodeficiency 20, increased susceptibility to viral infections, systemic lupus erythematosus, and alloimmune neonatal neutropenia.
• Alternative splicing: Multiple isoforms exist.
