Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to reach a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
FICD is a protein capable of both AMPylation and de-AMPylation of target proteins depending on cellular context.
It regulates the ERN1/IRE1-mediated unfolded protein response (UPR) by modifying HSPA5/BiP.
- In unstressed cells: acts as an adenylyltransferase, AMPylating HSPA5/BiP at Thr-518 (inactivation).
- Under ER stress: acts as a phosphodiesterase, removing AMP from HSPA5/BiP at Thr-518 (restoring activity).
Although it can AMPylate RhoA, Rac, and Cdc42 in vitro, these are not physiological substrates.
