- PA1-600 detects recombinant human and mouse angiostatin.
- Suitable for Western blot and ICC/IF applications.
- Detects a 50 kDa protein representing recombinant human angiostatin in Western blot.
- Immunizing peptide corresponds to amino acids 98–116 from mouse angiostatin.
- Sequence conservation: 95% in rat, 84% in human.
- Compatible with blocking peptide PEP-111.
Target Information
The encoded protein is a secreted blood zymogen activated by proteolysis into plasmin and angiostatin.
- Plasmin: Dissolves fibrin in blood clots and functions in various cellular processes.
- Angiostatin: Inhibits angiogenesis.
Defects in this gene may cause thrombophilia and ligneous conjunctivitis. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
