IFITM1 (Interferon inducible transmembrane protein 1)은 IFN 유도성 막단백질 패밀리에 속하며, interferon-gamma에 의해 유도되는 세포 증식 억제의 주요 매개체로 작용합니다. 세포 성장 조절에 관여하며, 여러 종양 유형에서 발현이 증가되어 종양 바이오마커로 활용될 수 있습니다. 또한, 마우스 IFITM1과 IFITM3는 발생 단계에 따라 원시 생식세포 표면에 발현되며, IFITM1은 비발현 세포를 반발시켜 내배엽으로 유도하는 역할을 합니다.
