Target Information
NMYC interactor (NMI) encodes a protein that interacts with NMYC and CMYC (members of the oncogene Myc family), as well as other transcription factors containing Zip, HLH, or HLH-Zip motifs.
NMI also interacts with all STATs except STAT2 and enhances STAT-mediated transcription in response to cytokines IL-2 and IFN-γ.
NMI mRNA shows low expression in most human fetal and adult tissues except the brain and exhibits high expression in myeloid leukemia cancer cell lines.
