Target Information
ICAD (Inhibitor of Caspase-3-Activated DNase)는 핵 내 세포사멸을 조절하는 CAD의 억제 단백질입니다.
ICAD는 두 가지 isoform을 가지며, 45 kDa의 ICAD-L/DFF45와 35 kDa의 ICAD-S/DFF35가 있습니다.
두 isoform 모두 CAD와 결합하지만, ICAD-L만이 기능적 억제 활성으로 보고되었습니다.
세포사멸 과정에서 ICAD는 caspase-3에 의해 절단되어 CAD가 DNA 절편화를 수행할 수 있도록 활성화됩니다.
ICAD는 CAD의 접힘을 돕는 샤페론 역할도 하며, 최근 연구에 따르면 대장암 및 뇌암 세포에서 정상적인 세포사멸 신호전달 경로 회복을 위한 잠재적 표적 단백질로 제시되고 있습니다.
ICAD 유전자는 두 가지 상이한 isoform을 암호화하는 대체 스플라이싱 전사체를 포함합니다.
