Target Information
TRAIL-R1 (CD261, DR4) is a type I transmembrane protein, also known as TRAIL receptor 1. Its ligand, TRAIL, belongs to the TNF family. DR4 mediates apoptosis and NF-κB activation in various cells and tissues, similar to other death receptors such as Fas and TNFR1.
Apoptosis is a programmed cell death process essential for normal cellular differentiation and development. It is induced by cytokines of the TNF family (e.g., TNF, Fas ligand) binding to their respective death domain-containing receptors (e.g., TNFR1, Fas receptor).
