Target Information
Nuclear factor kB p65 (NF-kB p65) is encoded by the RELA gene and is located on chromosome 11 in humans.
NF-kB p65 (RelA) belongs to the Rel family of proteins and forms a heterodimer with p50 or p52 subunits.
Upon TNF-alpha stimulation, IKK phosphorylates I-kB, leading to its proteasomal degradation and activation of NF-kB.
NF-kB p65 plays a key role in transcription of the immunoglobulin kappa gene in mature B-lymphoid cells.
