PGP9.5 (Protein Gene Product 9.5, UCH-L1, PARK5)는 신경 특이적 단백질로, neuron specific enolase와 구조적·면역학적으로 구별됩니다. 분자량은 27 kDa이며, ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal hydrolase family 1(C12)에 속합니다.
PGP9.5는 ubiquitin hydrolase 및 ligase 활성을 가지며, ubiquitin 단량체를 생성하는 역할을 합니다.
이 단백질은 신경세포, 신경섬유, 신경내분비세포, 신장 세뇨관 일부, 정세포 및 Leydig 세포, 난자, 황체 등에서 발현됩니다.
과발현 시 비소세포폐암과 연관되고, 발현 저하 시 헌팅턴병 및 알츠하이머병과 관련 있습니다.
