Product Specific Information

The SB/199 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD127, the high-affinity α subunit of the IL-7 receptor. IL-7Rα is expressed by immature B cells in bone marrow, CD4-/CD8- thymocytes, and single-positive CD4+ or CD8+ thymocytes, but not by double-positive CD4+/CD8+ thymocytes. In peripheral tissues, mature T cells express low levels of CD127.
Binding of SB/199 blocks the binding of A7R34, another antibody recognizing mouse CD127.

Applications Tested: Tested on mouse splenocytes; ≤0.5 µg/test recommended (100 µL final volume). Cell number: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Optimal titration recommended.

Target Information

CD127 (Interleukin-7 receptor alpha, IL-7Rα) is a glycoprotein involved in lymphopoiesis regulation. The active IL-7 receptor is a heterodimer of alpha and gamma chains. The gamma(c) chain also associates with IL-2 receptor and mediates signal transduction, while the alpha chain determines specific signaling events.
CD127 promotes proliferation of precursor B cells, thymocytes, T cell progenitors, and mature CD4+/CD8+ T cells. Dysregulation is associated with severe combined immunodeficiency and related disorders.
