For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

CD86 is one of two ligands (the other being CD80) for CTLA4 and CD28. It functions as a costimulatory molecule in T-cell activation during antigen presentation.
Inadequate co-stimulation involving CD86/CD80 can induce tolerance. CD86 is a type I membrane protein in the immunoglobulin superfamily, expressed by antigen-presenting cells.
It binds to CD28 and CTLA4 on T cells, providing positive and negative regulatory signals for T-cell activation.
Alternative splicing produces multiple isoforms of CD86.
Dysfunction of CD86 has been associated with gallbladder squamous cell carcinoma and myocarditis.
