Antibody detects endogenous levels of CDC37 only when phosphorylated at Serine 13.
Target Information
In S. cerevisiae, Cdc37 is an important regulator of the cell division cycle through its action on cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs). It is also associated with signaling pathways and kinases unrelated to cell cycle control, including v-Src, casein kinase II, MPS1 kinase, and the sevenless receptor tyrosine kinase.
Cdc37 has been identified as the same protein previously described as p50, found complexed with multiple kinases such as Src-family kinases (Fyn, Yes, Fes, Lck, Fgr), Raf, and pp60v-src.
Cdc37 acts as a chaperone independently and in concert with HSP90, and is necessary for the binding of HSP90 to Cdk4.
